JACK'S LATEST TOPICS:

Racial tension in Franklin Township? The Rev. Buster Soaries says 'yes' and wrote a letter to the Feds asking them to look into it, stating that there were simmering tensions. So, I asked Rev. Soaries to come on the air with me, and he declined. Why would he do that? The answer is because he fouled up, and he knows it.

There was a fight at the high school between some punks and the police. The cops responded, the cops were the victims, and Soaries knows that, too.

What we don't need is another Al Sharpton in our midst.
New Brunswick residents will decide on whether to change their system of government, or not. What those who favor wards should find out is, "Who is behind the movement for change?" The fact is that outsiders seem to be supplying the money and impetus. Who are they? What is their agenda? Will they be good for the City?

Currently, unemployment is low, the businesses boom, Hispanics are doing well in the stores on French Street, and the claim that there is no minority representation is due to the fact that minorities just don't vote.

It ain't broke, leave it alone!
Rabbi Bernard Rosenberg, and activist David Harris were in studio to discuss Harris' statement that the Rabbi was a 'one trick pony', meaning he worked hard only for the plight of Jews. Mr Harris and I have known each other for years, and more times than not, we were on the same page. On this one, I have a problem. The rabbi has a flock to attend to. They are Jews. He tends his flock. Even if he did not care about others (which is not true), what's the problem?
Concerning Mr Obama and the Nobel Prize. Here's the question. Do most of us cheer for the Yankees and Mets? Of course! Do most of us cheer for Rutgers? Of course. So why don't we cheer for an American when he wins, whether he's the best team or not?
It is infuriating to hear people compare bias. Which was worse, the holocaust or American slavery? It's a stupid question. I have no time for those who dwell on this nonsense. There is hatred in this world. Jews are hated, muslims are hated, blacks are hated. None of this is excusable, and none of this should be put on a comparison basis. I won't allow it on the air.
The Governor was my guest. As with the other candidates, he promises the moon and stars. Forget promises. Which candidate has the thoughts that I, too, espouse. I am in favor of a woman's right to choose, I am in favor of gay marriage, I am against all the guns on the street. The candidate who thinks the same way gets my vote.

The City of New Brunswick is under attack by an organization of very strange people with money coming in from a group in California. They are targeting Rutgers students as voter candidates. Unfortunately, RU students don't know what's behind all this, but they buy into the rhetoric.

New Brunswick is undergoing a great boom. Why would anyone want to screw that up?

There is an organization called ALL ABOUT THEM, that saves large breed dogs. The owners have gone through $160,000 of their own money in the last several years. They get little help from anyone in their attempt to help injured or ill large dogs. You can help by sending a check to ALL ABOUT THEM, 204 Archertown Rd, New Egypt, NJ 08533.

Weird. Very few folks sent donations. Are we becoming selfish? Two bucks in an envelope to save some of God's creatures isn't going to kill anyone.

Jack is looking to broaden his audience. Hoping to keep the current audience Jack wants to add younger people. This is for everyone, but especially if you are 30 or 40 tell Jack what subjects interest you.

Things Jack has been talking about

David Letterman does a crude joke about Sarah Palin's daughter, and both get great publicity. He beats O'Brien in the ratings, and she goes from forgotten VP candidate, to being back in the news. BUT, she asked for it by having her daughter Bristol sporting an engagement ring during the campaign. The young man who "knocked up" Bristol had no intention of marrying her. It was a scam for the campaign. What goes around comes around.
Does anyone care about NJ desperate housewives? Gads, I'd rather watch toilet bowl commercials.
A 29 year old man dies after a fight in an Edison hotel. No one is charged. The media hasn't picked up on the story.

The hotel is owned in part by an Edison Councilman. The dead man was allegedly owed $200,000 by the hotel. There was a fight, that's fact. The man died. That's fact. The prosecutor saw no reason to charge anyone. That's strange.

Edison firefighter Jerry Pepin, recently arrested but never charged by Metuchen Police, recceived a big promotion. He now is head of Edison EMT. His pay? Over 130K, and he gets a car and gas for his two hour daily commute.

There seems to be a lot of dislike for Jon Corzine. This is not to defend him, BUT .... the country is in deep trouble. What more could anyone do? There is no magic formula to solve the mess, and Corzine didn't create it.

Is he a warm fuzzy guy? No! Is he a bum? Nope! So, who is the white knight to help us?

It looks like it will be Jon Corzine against former US Attorney to NJ, Chris Christie. USUALLY in NJ it is simply the Dems vs the Repubs, but this time it might be different. Christie put some very powerful Dems in the slammer, and the Democrats will move heaven and earth to keep Corzine in office. Corzine hasn't done anything to besmirch his reputation, but times are bad, and people want to blame someone, anyone. It could be very interesting. The Governor must be smarting over the snub by Obama, and that remains a mystery. Jon Corzine helped Mr. Obama big time, and there was no payback. The Republicans will make hay out of that!

Caroline Kennedy is hoping to run for office, and is meeting resistance from the 'ol boys club'. This woman comes comes from a family where public sevice is expected. The Kennedys have been involved with improving the planet by going green, have given of their time and money to help the poor, have volunteered more than is expected, and in general is a misunderstood group of people. Caroline has the credentials, the pedigree and the ambition to carry on in her father's name.

Bob Mulcahy was fired.... and not without cause. An arrogant, power-hungry man who treated many like dirt. What goes around, comes around. If anyone thinks he was fired without cause, think again. He was fast and loose with money and he made an average football coach into a very rich man. 'Nuff said

What's with all the people who want GM and Ford to go under? Why would anyone cheer for the backbone of our economy to fail? It simply makes no sense. Detroit has been trying to compete with Japan for years, but because of the health benefits they give, they simply can't beat the Japanese prices. Understanding that we all want good wages, why would one group of Americans want to deny those same rights to other Americans?

So, it's over and now comes the task of undoing all the mistakes of the past eight years. This ain't gonna be easy. Mr. Obama has to be so very careful in those he appoints. If the hacks get in there, he'll be mired in their morass.

Good luck to the new Prez, both he and the country will need it. Posted Nov 11, 08

As the Bush Administration winds down, the list opf deceptions and unlaw activities by this leadership becomes longer and longer. Here is a group of people who lied about the danger of global warming, who lied about illegal foreign prisons for alleged terrorists, who lied about the 'outing' of CIA officer Valerie Plamme, who lied about weapons of mass destruction and who were willing to tell any lie that would cover up their misdeeeds. History will record their evil, but in the meantime we are left with a country that is a shell of what it used to be.

Bruce Johnson has been dumped by Rutgers after 24 years as the voice of Rutgers sports. The reason given - Rutgers wants a New York presence. The press has not been kind to Rutgers, its Athletic Director, Bob Mulcahy and Johnson's replacement, Chris Carlin.

Then there's the former radio/TV engineer who may have discovered a cure for cancer and at the same time, an alternative for gasoline, Look at this

Does nothing change? The war goes on, the world gets warmer, Obama and Clinton killing each other, and oh yes, something does change .... the price of gasoline!

You can save gas by just slowing down. You can save 25% of your gasoline bill by slowing down from 65 to 55. That's fact!

On the national scene, the scandals of the Bush administration are happening at machine gun speed. Mr. Bush doesn't want 16 states to make it tougher for polluters These states want to impose stricter mileage requirements for cars. The Assistant head of the EPA thought it was a great dea. The President said NO.

On the local scene, Edison contnues to be a hotbed of stange political doings. The mayor wants a civilian to head the Police Department. The police think it should be someone who has moved up in the ranks. Then there's the very strange story of Edison and it's computers. It seems the guy who heads that department is a high school dropout with no computer training. His last job was emtying coins from gum machines. This is absolute fact.

Jack asks, "has anyone noticed .... the war is over if you read the newspapers? It has become back page copy. This is exactly what the Republicans prayed for. There are 4,000 dead Americans, 200,000 dead Iraqis, and no one seems to care.

If you want to FIND SOMETHING on this page, most browsers have a FIND feature, usually in the EDIT function at the top of the page. In Internet Explorer 7 it's next to the Google Box at the top right.

The Governor has a plan to make up a three billion dollar deficit. Looks like those of us living and/or working in Middlesex County will bear the brunt of the payback. It's simply not fair!

Has anyone noticed that the WORKING MAN is going to take the hit. Is there no way to make the wealthy pay a disporopotionate part of the problem. They can afford it.

Look, this is a crisis. Energy rates are through the roof, Health Care is ridiculously high. the cost of a college education is too much for the average man to bear, and the further burden of increased tolls is simply not the best answer.

The Pat Tillman story - was he murdered? National Football League player, Pat Tillman enlisted in the Army Rangers, giving up a lucrative sports career. He was killed in Afghanistan, and originally the American public was told he died while on a mission against the Taliban. Months went by, and slowly the story changed. Though Tillman was a hero for just enlisting, it came out that he was not a 'hero' in battle. We were told that friendly fire killed him. That was devastating enough. Now comes word, that he was shot at close range, maybe as little as ten yards. Also, the report states, there were no enemy bullets or shell casings found. It seems there was never any combat. A doctor who viewed the body says the bullet holes were so close together, the shots came from someone close to Tillman. So, was he 'fragged'? That's an Army term for killed by his own men Tillman's last words were to a member of his unit and he was heard to say STOP WHINING.

So, was he murdered? Will the Army ever tell us? You see, Tillman is a poster boy, a reason to enlist. If he was murdered, the Army recruiting comes to a screeching halt

Wayne Bryant may be finally getting his due. This Camden politician has pulled one too many fiascos, and now it's all catching up to him. Bryant is the State Senator who arranged for a no-show job for himself at the University of Medicine and Dentistry. It wasn't the 30 thousand dollar a year salary, it was the fact that this led to a higher pension for a NO SHOW job.

But, that wasn't enough. Bryant also entered into an agreement with Rutgers, Camden for another 30K job that he turned into no show. He was supposed to give 20 lectures. He gave two.

For years, Bryant has been Mr. double, no make that triple dipper.

The sad part of it all is, the NJ Senate Ethics Committee never investigated him although everyone in Trenton knew what was going on.

Posted 3/05/07 On Rap Music

For too long, America's airwaves have been filled with the garbage of foul rap music. It doesn't make any difference if the folks on the street choose to be disgusting. America's airwaves are protected, and that protection should be enforced. There are certain words you can't say on radio or TV. Try saying the F word on the radio and you'll find yourself in deep do-do. Rappers claim that their N word is Nigga, not Nigger, as if that makes a difference. Bull! The word is the word. Rappers also claim that they use the word differently than white people. More bull. There is no endearing way to call someone a nigga or nigger. The term for too long was one of insult to black people. Just because someone in the music industry decides he'll use the word in a loving way doesn't mean the word is any different. It's time for the FCC and the music industry to get tough. You want to use the word? Fine, but you will be banned from the airwaves. That includes TV. And when the Grammy Awards are given out, those who record the word should be banned from being particiapnts.

If the rap community wants to do anything but produce gangsters and punks, it's time to clean up their act.
